Katy Perry Gets Back Her ‘Smile’ in KP5’s Empowering Title Track

Just a day after Katy Perry had her
KatyCats grinning by revealing the circus-themed cover art for her
upcoming albumSmile, the pop star unveiled the title track on
Friday (July 10).

“I gotta say it’s really been a while / But now I’ve got
back that smile,†she sings in the poppy, uplifting hook.

“I wrote the title track from the album when I was coming
through one of the darkest periods of my life and had lost my
smile. This whole album is my journey towards the light – with
stories of resilience, hope, and love,†she wrote of the song on
Twitter.
